KINGSTON, JA., December 19, 2017 – The Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (JHTA) proudly unveils the completely redesigned 2018 edition of their official annual publication Our Jamaica.

Distributed locally in almost 19,000 guest rooms throughout the island, Our Jamaica magazine fulfills the needs of inquisitive visitors and inspires their imagination with a wealth of content about the island and Jamaica’s hospitality industry. The newly reconstructed edition serves to highlight the unique personality, style, history and experiences Jamaica has to offer.

“We are very excited to share this reimagined version of Our Jamaica with our members and visitors,” says Omar Robinson, President of the Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association. “I am positive that HCP Media’s new design and layout will appeal to those wanting to explore our island home like a local and get to know Jamaica’s hidden treasures.”

The new content is divided into four main sections: Trendsetter, Explorer, Navigator and News & Notes. Trendsetter spotlights various aspects of local life — including fun facts, fashion, cuisine and music — using bold images and bite-sized content, mimicking how Millenials currently consume information online. Explorer provides an overview of the main resort areas of Kingston, Port Antonio, Ocho Rios, Montego Bay, Negril and the South Coast, plus fun “Day Tripping” itineraries of how to spend 24 hours in each region. Navigator features in-depth stories from locals on how they enjoy their island home’s offerings in areas of sightseeing, adventures, dining and more. And, News & Notes presents useful information visitors need to know during their stay.

“As you can clearly see from the fresh design and new content, this was truly a labor of love for our HCP Media team,” explains Marisa Beazel, President and Publisher of HCP Media. “We continually strive to improve our products by immersing ourselves in local cultures, which is very easy and exciting to do in Jamaica, a trendsetting island that consistently sets the tone for much of the Caribbean.”
